First Sister Clinton, my son is serving in Kaiserslautern and just loves the
members there. He tells us he gets a lot of member support as a missionary
so thanks!
Second with regards to tardy's when I was asked to be a seminary teacher I
asked my older children what would have made seminary better for them. My
eldest daughter said, "Don't criticize the students who are late. My
teachers always made me feel so bad after I made a tremendous effort to get
there I would always wonder why I came." So my policy has been to welcome
them into class and help them catch up to where we are currently, something
like, hey thanks for coming so glad to see you (I usually welcome each of my
students each morning) I had comments from them that they really appreciated
this. Out of my 27 students only one didn't end up trying harder to be
there. And if the student assigned to give devotional wasn't there at the
beginning, we moved it to the end or a member of the presidency always had
one in their pockets too.
