It sounds like what we call Seminary Sunday in our ward. Ours is this coming
Sunday. Our teacher has arranged for several of his students to either give
short talks or bear their testimony (which can amount to the same thing).
One of my teachers in the stake (I'm a Stake Supervisor) asked what her
students could talk about in her ward meeting and I made these suggestions:
I'd suggest a prayer and then a little pondering, but here are some topics
you can consider:
Things I've learned from the Old Testament
My favorite scripture mastery and why
I go to seminary because...
Advice for letting seminary have an impact on your life
Seminary.the best way to start your day
Old Testament heroes for today
Why the General Authorities counsel us to go to seminary
Do these give you some ideas? As you can see, you could talk about either
seminary in general or the Old Testament. I've seen both done. I am sure
your Bishop will want these talks to be inspiring.
This is the advice I gave. I'm sure you'll get lots of great ideas from this
list. It will be a great sacrament meeting!

Subject: [Teachldsseminary] Seminary Sacrament Meeting
Hi,
I am new here...and a first year seminary teacher. The bishop just told me
that I have an entire sacrament meeting for seminary. He suggested that I
give some presentations, have the kids talk, have a seminary chorus....but I
need to fill all the time. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have 11
students all grades. Five are graduating this year. It sounds hard to fill
all the time....
Thanks!
Vicki
