We have played Scripture Mastery Cootie and my class enjoys it. Here's how
we play. Each student has a set of the bug pieces and parts in a ziploc, a
die and something to roll the die on (aluminum pie tin, melamine plate, etc.).
I give clues, and everyone looks up the SM. As soon as they find it, they
can start rolling the die repeatedly until they get the part they want or
until the last person finds the SM (that person only gets to roll once), then
they have to stop. There is a limit of one piece per SM. They have to get a
head or body first before putting the tongue, legs, etc on.
Those who finish their bug earn a candy treat and then get to do reverse
cootie with their completed bug to try to earn another treat. So instead of
adding parts, you pull them off until the bug is gone. Of course before the
head and body could be taken away, the legs, tongue, feelers, eyes, etc have to
be removed.
If you didn't have enough Cootie bugs for each student, you could partner
them up or even have a specified thing to draw, build, etc from whatever parts
and pieces you have. Legos, blocks, graph, etcetera.
