The formatting won't come out on this but it will give you an idea. I'm
adding a March Madness component and putting in some of the eggs to shoot
for points after they find the reference, etc.

Scripturegg Hunt -

One student is blind-folded the other must keep his hands on the shoulders
of the blind-folded student ( he cannot use his hands)
The student then must direct his blindfolded companion to the eggs telling
him where the eggs are, which direction to put his hands etc.
This has been a great activity for the last 2 years. It teaches faith,
working together, etc.

PREPARATION: Buy individually wrapped candy eggs
(I combine Reese's, Cadbury, Chocolate Covered Marshmellow (my personal
favorite...this is actually a fairly dangerous activity for me)...If I have
18-20 kids in my class, I've found that 50 eggs is a good number. I
scotchtape the random # & clue on each egg (keeping the master list of
course so I know which clue goes with which number)
CLASS SET-UP: Since my class was in the Primary room, I had all the chairs
taken down the day before...telling the kids we won't be meeting there the
next day; you need to get there EARLY (at least 30-45 min) the next day &
set up all the chairs in the hallway outside the Primary Room (allowing
limited access to retrieve their scriptures); I literally hid those eggs
only in the Primary Room (when you turn on lights and open the folding
doors, they walk in and cannot "see" even one...(I told them I will not hide
any inside the piano, or in my cupboard...) but I've found a few great
places: tucked behind a flyer stapled to a bulletin board; masking taped
everywhere (bottoms of tables, backs of folded chairs, on the ledge outside
the window, underneath the trash basket, etc.) + I tuck one into the hem of
the drapes, pull out the plastic trash bag & put one in then put the bag
back on...it's amazing where you find places) AS KIDS COME, have them get
their scriptures (or have them out on a table), pair them up (whoever
happens to be sitting next to you is your partner), hand each pair a length
of wide ribbon (or whatever) w/instructions to tie their inside legs
together between ankle & knee; hand each pair a scoresheet, with
instructions to only find ONE EGG AT A TIME (others confiscated & put where
anyone can find & claim), then they RETURN TO THEIR DESK, look up the
reference and write the PAGE # on their scoresheet, along with the Clue # on
the egg. Then they're free to find more eggs. THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO EAT
ANY UNTIL AT THE END, after you've had them by team call out clue # & page #
(if they're wrong, teacher gets the egg...and I keep 'em!...hoping that
someone will blow it on a marshmellow one)...also you need to COUNT total
eggs every once in a while, and keep 'em going until they're all found.
Usually, we get to the point where 18 kids are standing in the middle of an
empty room and told there are still "7 more left"..
OK, here's the scoresheet & clue master list:

Subject: [Teachldsseminary] Help: Easter egg SM game

Last year I remember seeing an idea for doing an easter egg hunt for
seminary using the SM scriptures. I can't find my copy and was wondering if
anyone on the list could direct me to that game.

  Thanks for your help!
