About the Author
Elder Jeffery R. Holland  was ordained a member of the Quorum of the Twelve 
Apostles of the Church of  Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in June 1994. He 
had previously served as  president of Brigham Young University and as the LDS 
Church Commissioner of  Education. Elder Holland holds master's and Ph.D. 
degrees from Yale  University. He is the author of several books, including 
Trusting Jesus and  However Long and Hard the Road. Elder Holland and his wife, 
Patricia, have  three children and eleven grandchildren
