I only printed a few sets of the cards........and they received them mostly for participation -- sharing journal entries, etc. They were motivation rather than Seminary bucks!!!! When they got a "sub-set", they were awarded a treat from the candy jar......We kept them in the plastic trading card holders.......

Part way through the year, they had duplicates or ones they were willing to trade with others in order to get a "sub-set"......

Toward the end of the year I had to print more as I had awarded the ones I had printed. The boys especially got into the trading and loved it.........I would have "trading time" on certain days (not often -- so they would look forward to it...........or they could do it after class). This generated a lot of interaction with the students and sometimes got the others excited.....

Out of my 18 students, probably only 8 got the full set.......some didn't care.........some liked the ones they got.........many used them for devotionals, etc.

Periodically I let the kids pull one from a hat on their entry into Seminary (if they were on time).........if our lesson had something to do with the card they had picked, they got another card or award..........just tried to shake it up some so they never knew what the "norm" was!
