Hi Teresa,
I have never met you before but feel that I have to comment. You have nothing to apologize for. I believe the person who responded is really out of step with what we are taught by our Church Leaders. Clearly, we are always taught and instructed that we are called under prophecy and revelation and released the same way. I provided some quotes by our Church Leaders in a general response.
I don't respond to this forum too often and haven't really visited lately as well. I just felt uncomfortable with alot of people providing personal and I repeat, "personal" comments and insights as if these comments were considered church policy or doctrine. I will have to add my comments and insights as well. We are always taught that we are all entitled to our own revelation and inspiration. We get that through prayer and through reading the scriptures, including the words of our church leaders in the Ensign and other approved Church magazines and articles.
Again, you have absolutely nothing to apologize for. Your comments are just as valid as anybody elses.
Please read some of the articles in the Ensign regarding callings and releases. You will be inspired and uplifted.
Regards,
Brian Lillie
