[Teachldsseminary] TEACH: Succession in the Presidency

lds.org had wonderful information on Pres Hinckley which is what I used in my class today. I felt inspired last night to prepare a different lesson than the one I had originally prepared. After a sincere prayer I was given the inspiration and knowledge of what my class needed this morning to learn about our beloved prophet. I used the articles I printed off lds.org which included his life, a timeline, his testimony from April 2006 conference and the succession of the first presidency.  In between articles I gave them my testimony, let them ask questions and showed different parts from the dvd Special Witnesses of Christ. I showed some of President Hinckley's comments and I also showed President Monson's comments.  I know my students felt the spirit as I did and hope that it helped them deal with the passing of President Hinckley and the assurance that the gospel goes on without interruption.  It was a wonderful spiritual experience for me.
