Thanks, that's a great idea.
One thing I always do the month of February is have our annual birthday
party and celebrate everyone's birthday at once. I'll bring in cake and ice
cream and do SM birthday activities on a Friday.
I'll stuff balloons with SM clues and then have two teams come up and sit on
them or pop the balloons and chase to find theirs before the other team.
I will also do white elephant gifts and scripture chase and have the winner
(or roll a dice to see who can pick it) pick a gift and then the next time
they can choose either that gift or another unwrapped gift.
It helps get through the doldrums of February!

Subject: Re: [Teachldsseminary] 100 Days of Seminary
We are approximately at the 100th day of Seminary, so this is an
adaptation of a similar activity that was posted last year for the D&C. In
conjunction with the other "Super bowl" activities I am doing this month, I
will bring in a "super" (large) bowl of chocolate kiss candies, numbered
from 1-81. For fun, I found "valentine" kisses with sweet sayings on the
tags.
Yes, I know it says 100 days of Seminary, but I found last year we only
got up to the 80's, so I adapted!
Every one reaches into the bowl and pulls out the same # of kisses (I
have 9 students, each one will get 9 candies.) all different numbers.
Everyone puts their candies in numerical order, and I start reading out the
activity for each number. The student who has candy #1 does activity #1,
and so on.
I chose 1 Sam 18-24 for the scriptures--it was easy to find lots of
scriptures that had to do with "best friends" and that ties in perfectly to
Valentine's Day, but you could adapt this to any scripture block you wanted
to cover or review. If you want to hit all 100 activities, just add on to
the bottom of my list. Make it goofy and fun--I found last year it really
woke up my sleepers, and the students will all have to do a few scriptures
as well the fun stuff. They were more open to discuss things, because they
were participating more.
Enjoy!
