Sis. Windell,

In my experience, most students fail to relate well to sport examples 
because most students are not avid athletes.  You need examples that 
most students can personally relate to.  (IMO the Super Bowl examples 
are very poor because you're asking your students to put themselves into 
the shoes of professional athletes.  Your students may nod their heads 
and say they fully understand --- but they won't.)

When working with the YM/YW there are two examples that 99% of the teens 
will understand: essays and (for older students) dating.  The supposedly 
well-researched essay that proved to be poorly researched and the 
awkward first date are pretty much rites of passage for most teens.
