Love the idea, it would also work if she sent glue-in's and gave the
scripture ref/page of where to put the quote. Then the quotes would be right
in their scriptures.

One thing that my daughter has been doing for the young men who were
her friends is giving them a photo album that you can slip pictures
into the sleeves with one quote in it. Then with each letter that she
sends to them she sends another quote to put into another sleeve. Her
requirements for the quotes are that they must be from a general
authority, with very rare exception she uses only a prophet, member of
the 1st presidency or quorum of the twelve. She types the quote up,
then cuts it down to size, mounts it on the size of photo that would go
into the sleeve, sometimes adds stickers or decoration, and sends it
off with a letter of encouragement. Many of the quotes are from general
conferences, some are from seminary or other places. She cut off a
stack of paper to fit the picture albums so it really is a couple of
minute "job" but it means a lot to the missionary. It is always an
inspirational thought that she sends their direction. She has had very
positive response from the missionaries for giving them quotes that
they can use while preaching the gospel, while encouraging other
missionaries, other members or just themselves. The power of the words
of those who have been ordained as prophets, seers, and revelators.
