You can also use the Sons Ammon songs for SM. My students have preferred
these ones this year. Some of the tunes are familiar and is not sung in
such a high note. In fact the boys in my class sang one of the songs in
their priesthood lesson. Their teacher was quite impressed. You can find
them by googling Lds SM songs. The webpage is
http://lds.about.com/od/seminary/a/scripture_songs_4.htm
Also they are free for use in your class. What can be better.

We will choose one and sing it first thing each morning that week. By the
end of the week, most of them have memorized the scripture.

I played these in class for about a week and the kids really responded very
well to them, so I ordered one for each family in my class. There is a price
break for large orders. It really improved passing off of the scripture
mastery. Within a month 4 pass off all 25 and the rest have passed off a
lot. Only 3 have only passed of the ones we pass off in class. I love it.
The kids sing them to me all the time when they come up in the lessons and
today when we were talking about what scripture masterys were mentioned in
general conference we had many sung. Next year I will have an order form
for the CD's ready for the parents meeting so that I can order them and have
them right at the start of the year. I really appreciate having this tool.
This is my first year teaching EMS and every little bit helps. I have 25
kids that attend. Have a great day. MJ
