You deserve a metal. I would be asking to split the class up fast. I don't know how you manage except that at least you don't have to worry about starting with only 2 kids before the other 8 trickle in if we are lucky.
Sorry no game ideas just thought I would send my first thoughts that came to mind. The dice game mentioned earlier seems like a fun thing to do with a large group where they write down the SM and keep writing until someone rolls a 6 and they count up how many times they could write it down.

One we tried last year which seemed fun and might work for a large group (actually I got it off this email site just tweaked it a bit) if you have a gym is you write up the answers to questions from things you have learned already and some SM onto a index cards. You would have to do a set for each team you have. At one end of the gym or midway depending on how sweaty the kids want to get. Mine don't want to get sweaty--at whatever point you decide that the kids will run to, you place a chair enough for each team. so if you have 8 teams you would have 8 chairs. You label the chairs one through 8 with one two three being in the middle and then line up the other chairs however you want. At the other end where the teams will stand you place the index cards on the floor face up so they can see what they say. You ask the question the team has to find the answer and one kid has to run the answer back to the chair. The idea is to get to the #1 chair first etc. They get so many points for getting in the #1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 the idea is to get as many points as possible and you have a prize based on the winners. Everyone could win something or you just reward the number one team. It becomes a dog fight sometimes and can get a bit exciting ( we actually bent a chair up last year OOPs) If they get to a chair and you check their answer and they are wrong they have to go back and that chair is open. it is first one there with the right answer gets the chair. We had lots of fun with this. The other thing I did was I had prophets names and other names I would change the last name or change an initial or the date of the year of an event just to see if they were paying attention and most times they were not and they had to go back and find the right one.
That is my idea for now. Good luck

Does anyone have any games for really large classes? I have 47 in my class
(some students have to sit on the floor) and they want to play games, but,
  sheesh, what a nightmare !!
