The Tower of Babel story was used about 3 years ago by Pres. Salinas of the Chapultapec Stake, Mexico City, Mexico to teach a lesson on communication:
He asked the audiance for the examples of the ways that the Lord could have destroyed the tower.  (Answers included earthquake, flood, fire, lightning, meteors, etc.)    Isn't it interesting that the Lord chose lack of communication to stop the building.  He talked about how communication is essential for healthy relationships within a family and essential for our relationship with Heavenly Father if we want it to flourish.
