Hello all. I just found this on an old list, and I thought we'd all enjoy
using it again for the OT this year.

I got this idea from a book by Jack Weyland "If Talent were Pizza, You'd be a

Supreme".

It is a very easy way to remember the 10 commandments. My kids loved it.

The Ten Commandments (using memory gimmicks) by Jack Weyland

 1. Think of one and only. Thou shall have no other gods before me.

 2. Think of zoo. Some zoos have a statue of a lion. Thou shall not make

unto me any graven image.

 3. Think of tree—a tree has leaves. A leaf has veins, which reminds us of

vain. Thou shall not take the name of the Lord in vain.

 4. Think of door. A door has a keyhole. Hole reminds us of holy. Thou

shall keep the Sabbath day holy.

 5. Think of drive. You are going on a drive with your parents. Thou shall

honor thy father and thy mother.

 6. Think of sticks. You could kill someone by beating them with a
stick. Thou

shall not kill.

 7. Think of heaven. If you want to go to heaven, don't commit adultery. Thou

shall not commit adultery.

 8. Think of gate. The reason to put up gates is to keep robbers away. Thou

shall not steal.

 9. Think of lying. Thou shall not bear false witness.

 10. Think of hen. Your neighbor has a chicken and you would like to take it

and eat it. Thou shall not covet.
