Not a real big idea but this is what I am using for an introduction:
Go to the library and check out several different language tapes. Bring
several tape recorders to class. Tell the students to imagine they were all
working on a project vitally important to each of them and that these tapes
had all the instructions for the project. Ask them to listen carefully then
carry out the instructions.
Play the tapes and discuss the problem with having everyone speaking
different languages.

Does anyone have a good idea for teaching the tower of Babel? I noticed it's
not really covered in the teacher manual, but the schedule created by our
CES coordinator includes it. We have tons of wooden blocks, so I'm thinking
we'll do some tower building but that's about as far as I've gotten. Any
ideas?
Thanks!
