Thanks, Debra for all your awesome ideas.
I have a menorah as well, it's a chanukkiah, (9 cups - 8 for the eight days
of Chanukkah and then the shammus candle - the one highest. This candle is
used to light the other eight.) One of my Jewish sources tells me that some
branches/congregations don't use the 7 cup menorah as was used in the
ancient temple, because since the temple was destroyed, they feel it
sacreligious to replicate the original.
