In today’s paper, the comic strip One Big Happy by Rick Detorie made me  
think of our lesson last week for Moses 1.  The comic has James telling  Ruthie 
and Joe that he has learned a new cuss word, and Ruthie says don’t say  it, Joe 
says what letter does it start with.  It reminded me of our  discussion in 
class to not even let Satan “tell you about it”, just tell him to  leave (or the 
“servants of Satan”, or whatever form the temptation is coming  in).  
 
A couple ideas I had to use this next time, and I’m sure someone else has  
others, would be:
Use as a readiness during or at the beginning of this  lesson to show how you 
should just stay away from Satan’s temptations, not just  want to know the 
first letter.  
Different panels could be shown as the  discussion progresses.
After showing first panel, ask if they want to know  what the cuss word is, 
to show how Satan works.  What should the response  be?  
2nd panel, which is what Moses did?
Discuss Joe’s face asking  for a hint, then after he is plugging his ears.
 
I’m sorry if you don’t get this comic in your paper, and I don’t know if  
there is a place to get it on-line, so this won’t be helpful in that case!
