I too played SM Game yesterday with a twist.  I got the idea from a game
called "High Noon"  anyways this is how I played it.

 

I wrote the names of my students on a card and put them into a bag.  I had a
student draw two names out of the bag and had them go head to head with each
other.  I had the other students also looking up the scripture.  I told them
that they all need practice shooting(searching). 

 

Whoever find the scripture won that shooting match.  I then put a an "X" on
the person who lost the shooting match.  I told them that they were not dead
just wounded and could play again.  However after three "X" or wounds they
were dead.  

 

I then put back the two names into the bag and two more names were drawn.  I
played several rounds.  I told them this game will go on throughout the
year.  We will see you wins the shooting match at the end.  I just might
resurrect the dead ones and have them earn points back.  I have gotten that
far.  I like everyone to have fun and play.  So we will see.  

 

This game you can use keywords, Hymns, words from the scriptures, missionary
application etc.  It doesn't matter.
