About a wwek before teaching this lesson, I emailed my students' parents and asked them to have a talk with their student about circumcision, especially if the student was interested in specifics.  It doesn't bother me to teach circumcision, but it does bother me when students are embarrassed.  After an incident 8 years ago when teaching this lesson, I learned that I don't ever want to embarrass a student.  Having the parents discuss curcumcision with their child gives the parents a chance to be "part" of our class and it leaves us free to discuss the principles in class. 
   
  This year, one girl did not have this discussion with her parents before class but she did not seem to be embarrassed when she asked questions about it.  No one else seemed bothered either.

evils of Sodom and one of my students asked what fornication meant.........
