What if you just taught them to mark the most important word -- just one
word in each verse. Perhaps you could start out with a handout that has a
complete story -- such as Noah or Abraham's Sacrafice or Hannah's desire for
a child. As you read each verse have them mark one word. When you have
completed the story have each girl read her string of words. Hopefully each
one will be different and you can testify how the scriptures speak to each
of us differently -- which is one reason that we mark them.
Just an idea.....
