I had a great moment in my class.  One of those that couldn't be 
manufactured.  One of my students has a mom who is not a member.  However, 
she is active in church, she is even the Primary pianist.  She is completely 
supportive of all things LDS related--her kids baptisms, Seminary 
attendance, scouts, etc.  We were talking about this topic in class and this 
young man brought up that his mom was not a member and one of the other 
girls said "Oh, that doesn't count, everyone thinks she is a member."  His 
reply was "But she isn't."  At that moment, the class really understood that 
even in the best of circumstances with a non-member spouse, there are 
eternal consequences for the family.  That even with a non-member spouse 
that will attend church and be supportive, those sealing blessings are not 
in the home.
