I think we shouldn't assume that because we use "fluff" the spirit is not 
there.  We can  have both at the same time.   At least that's been my 
experience.  Maybe because we share lots of ideas on this list (much 
appreciated BTW), it sometimes seems like all we do is the fun stuff.  But, 
in reality, we use these things sparingly - sort of peppering our lessons 
here and there for added spice - and actually do rely on the spirit to do 
the teaching and uplift our students.   Am I right?
