We played a fun game today - it was a good way to take the sting out of a
pop quiz - which I surprise them with periodically.

I gave each student a hidden picture page (same for everyone) and had them
place it face-down on their desks. I then proceeded with the first question
of the quiz. These can be any questions you wish - whatever you are
studying or even scripture mastery questions. The students write their
answer on the backside of the paper. We then discuss the answer. Everyone
who got it right, gets to flip over their paper and they have 15 seconds to
find as many of the hiddent pictures as they can. After 15 seconds they
have to flip their papers back over and the quiz resumes with the next
question. I chose quite a difficult picture, so it took about 15 minutes to
finally get a winner who found all the hidden pictures. You could cut down
on the time it takes by choosing an easier picture and giving them only 12
seconds or whatever. I found lots of pictures on the following website
http://www.highlightskids.com/gamesandgiggles/HiddenPics/HiddenPicsPrintable/h8hiddenArchive.asp.
But the one I used was this one called animals out to eat:

The kids really enjoyed this and I think I'll do it again with other
pictures in the future. It's a good way to review and makes it fun at the
same time. Even the guys who don't like games played this one.
I found this game somewhere (I can't remember where) and just tweaked it for
Seminary.
