My student (only have one) preferred them with the drippings.  I made  both 
because I wasn't sure what she'd like but I wanted her to be able to try  the 
real deal.  I created drippings by pan frying steak for our  dinner.  But DON"T 
add water to make them go farther like you would with  roast drippings to 
make gravy.  You end up with a glutenous mess.   Experience talking!
 
We didn't want the oyster stew so I asked her which recipe she had liked  the 
most to that point and I would make that again - she chose the Yorkshire  
pudding!
