The traps are actually fairly small, but large enough to put your hand in 
easily. The instructions say that they are actual traps that have been 
chromed to make them more visible. I included that in part of my 
presentation telling that many traps in our life are not even hidden, but 
blatently visible just waiting for us.

As you can see, they made a magic effect out of it, which I did use in one 
lesson. To set, you do have to exert a fair amount of pressure on the spring 
to allow the jaws to relax. It wasn't difficult for me, but you may want to 
have a strong youth do it (with proper warnings, etc).
