Where do you live? If you have a Jewish synagogue there, they probably have
a gift shop. The last synagogue I visited in Salt Lake City gave me all
their old calendars and they were beautiful with wonderful paintings and
explanaitions of all the festivals and everything. I know the Royal Bank
also makes Hebrew Calendars and gives them away. I also bought small
handbooks of the Passover Haggadah, for each of my class members (this was
adult Sunday School last year) written in Hebrew and in English.
But, yes, there are lots of sites where you can buy Judaica online. Some
sites don't like to sell to goyim (non-Jews), but usually they don't ask.
I'm going to take my class to the local synagogue. The chairman here (they
don't have a rabbi) does a nice presentation and shows the Torah scrolls
and the tefillin and explains the basic beliefs and why you can't be Jewish
and believe in Jesus Christ at the same time, etc. It's very interesting.
I've gone to the Yom Kippur services here too and I think the kids would
really enjoy that as well - as long as they are prepped in advance.
