A couple of things that we did 4 years ago that were lots of fun are:  We made tribal banners, using the sketches in the Latter-day village filing cabinet under "Richard DeLand Adaptation of Arnold Friberg Banners".  The kids loved doing this and we displayed them on the wall.  I used 4-5 foot poles (sticks) and provided fabric, felt, ribbon, rubber snakes, feathers, fur, beads, etc.  We used several Fridays to complete the banners.  I offered to finish them at home but my students insisted that they needed to finish them themselves in class.

Another thing we did was to make a cartouche of each student's name.  I believe it's Ken Alford that has a Cartouche maker on his site.  Lots of fun.  (A cartouche is made with egyptian symbols for each letter.)  I also displayed these on the wall for a time.

Subject: [Teachldsseminary] QUESTION: OBJECTS

 am continuing to put together my list of resources and I appreciate everyones
elp - I will be glad to share what I learn with everyone once I am done. Right
ow I was hoping someone might have a list of suggested props that could be
athered in preparation for OT, for example - kazoos for when you need a shofar;
oils, lice, crickets, etc for the plagues -- things like that??? I picked up
ome styrofoam headstones at Halloween that I spray painted grasy and will use
or the tablets of the ten commandment. Any other ideas would be great!

s far as books (of coarse, reading the OT is a must) - the David Ridges 'OT
ade Easier' is so helpful and I also have read John Byetheway's "Isaiah for
irheads" which is very helpful. Any other books that you find helpful?

s there a Sunday School or Primary coarse that has a picture file that
oordinates with the OT? ...... thanks ......... debbie
