Here is a link to the poem Joseph Smith wrote about Section 76, that he sent
to W.W. Phelps. It's long, but it is powerful.

Thanks for sending that. I've read that poem in MoDoc before. I was sad to
see that they suppose Phelps might have written it.
Does anyone know for sure? Or has anyone seen any GA commentary on it?
My favorite stanza is:
[20]
Whose inhabitants, too, from the first to the last,
Are sav'd by the very same Saviour of ours;
And, of course, are begotten God's daughters and sons
By the very same truths and the very same powers.
And I've used that "Are sav'd by the very same Saviour of ours" as doctrine,
thinking that JS actually wrote this poem.
Any help on authenticating this?
Thanks,
Marji
