[Teachldsseminary] TEACH: Isaiah game

I just finished creating this game in order to introduce Isaiah to the
kids.  It is based off the game idea that was on this list to teach
Deuteronomy.
Print off the phrases and put them on the board
Divide the students into teams
I will read the scripture(s) and then the kids will race to the front to
find the phrase that best describes the scripture.

I am hoping that this will be a good way to introduce the students to Isaiah
and show them that they can understand Isaiah and hopefully make it a bit
less scary.

The Lord wants us to come to him with our sins so that he can forgive us.

The temple and conference center built in to tops of the mountains (Salt

Due to anarchy and a loss of righteous leadership in Israel, the children,
babes and women will be the rulers

The temple will be a refuge from the world for the righteous people

All men will be humbled before God

Calling of – People will not understand his words

Birth of Christ

Lord is a sanctuary for righteous  and a stumbling block for the unrighteous

Names for Christ

Israel will be scattered, but a remnant will return

Christ will come from the stem of Jesse (house of Joseph)

Christ is our salvation

Lucifer fell from heaven

Wait upon the Lord

Trust in the Lord

We learn the gospel a little bit at a time

The Book of Mormon will be the word of God coming forth from the dust

Israel will be scattered because of the people will not listen to the
prophets

Christ will protect and shelter his people

The Lord is the judge and lawgiver

Read the scriptures

The dessert (latter day Israel) shall blossom as a rose.

The Lord will turn back the sun in the sky as a sign for Hezekiah

Israel will be taken captive by Babylon

Christ is the great shepherd

Lord will give his people strength

Christ will come in quietly in peace the first time

Christ knows his people.

Cyrus, the future king of Assyria, will save Israel from Babylon

The Lord tries the chosen people

Lord will never forget his people

Second coming of Christ will be a joyous time

Lord's people know him

Christ suffered for us

The Gentiles will eventually be adopted in to the House of Israel

Seek the Lord early

Blessings of the Sabbath

We are the ones that move away from the Lord

Christ was sent to not only preach the gospel but to help all of his people
