Christ's Gift for Me
It's Christmas time at our house
And we're putting up the tree.
I wish I could find one simple way
To remember Christ's gift to me.
Some little sign or symbol
To show friends stopping by.
The little babe was born one day,
But He really came to die.
Some symbol of His nail-pierced hands,
Of the blood He shed for me...
What if I hung a simple nail
On my shinning Christmas Tree?
A crimson bow tied 'round the nail,
To show how His blood flowed free,
To save each person from their sin
And redeem us eternally.
I know it was His love for us
That bound Him to that "tree"
But when I see this simple nail,
I'll know He died for me!

Subject: [Teachldsseminary] OT: Poem About Nail[Scanned]
I am looking for the poem and instructions that go along with using
a large nail...signifying the nails used on the cross at Jesus'
crucifixion...to make a Christmas Tree ornament.I received one a few
years back and it was very beautifully done, but I cant seem to find the
card with poem that goes along with it. If this sounds at all familiar
to anyone, would you please email me privately. Thank you so much.
