I am using one of my extra days to cover some of the less known stories in the book of Nubmers. I am using a "Make your Own Bingo Card" game. The way this works is you give each student a blank bingo card with the 30 + words written at the bottom of the page and then the students make their own bingo card by filling in each suqare with one word from the list below. This way every card is different and you did not have to go through all the work to generate the cards. it also give the students a chance to see what "options" there are later in the game/story telling. I then tell the story, but stop at key words and have them look up the answer. The answer is also one of the bingo words. When they have the word they can cross it off their card. I usually give a small prize to the first few bingo's and then revert to "black out" I have had good success with this game. occasionally their will be a student who does not look up the words on their own and waits for
someone to say the answer - but atleast they are hearing th answer. I find this a good method when i am telling a story to keep them involved in the lesson. Here is my story outline with key questions, the reference (which i give the student) and the answer. I don't think the bingo card will work on the e-mail list, but i will give it a try anyway.
