The Ensign article "How the Bible Came to  Be"  is also really good at 
illustrating this.  In one of the parts (there are several) it shows how one 
phrase of the Hebrew Bible was taken and translated a few different ways. 
Then it was debated upon and worked out until the translaters came up with 
the one they preferred.  Excellent article.  By Lenet H. Read.
