[Teachldsseminary] Teach:Teaching the OT - Fear and Trembling

Ken Alford said "Don't Worry!" about teaching the OT if you are  nervous 
about teaching those scriptures.  I'm excited because it will allow  us to really 
use the teaching emphasis this year.  Especially helping our  students to 
share their testimony.  They can talk to and share with  more of their peers 
because its not "LDS scripture".  It gives them a  common ground to talk about 
their beliefs and particularly their belief in  Christ.  I'm excited because I 
think I can approach and encourage my  inactive kids to come because it is a book 
they may be familiar with.   Everyone has heard about the Bible - right?  I 
hope they'll even bring  their non-member friends. 
 
On a personal note:  We have been told that we can go back home  if we stay 
prepared to re-evacuate.  So we are going to do that  tomorrow.  The fire is 
still growing but the wonderful men and women from  many states who are working 
this fire - Jocko Lakes Fire -  have been  successful in keeping it turned 
away from our town.  It's about two miles  away right now, but there is a lake 
and a two-lane highway between us and the  fire.  We are still praying for 
moisture.
