[Teachldsseminary] Blowing the Shofar

Where did you go on line to get your shofar.  I am just checking to see if the the 25ish range is the best I am going to get for a 10-12" shofar?  Did it come from within the states?

  remarked that it was very difficult to get a get a sound out of it and boy,
  were you right!  I made numerous attempts with no luck whatsoever.  I was
  hoping that I'd have a musician in my class with trumpet experience :)  Then
  I googled "How to blow a Shofar" and came up with several websites.  The one

  everything he said (I didn't try the pasta suggestion) and was able to get
  it to make a decent sound on my second try.  It was great advice.  I'll be
  teaching freshmen this year and I know they'll want to try it out.  With
  these instructions, I'm sure they'll have success (perhaps annoying the
  other teachers in the building, though!)
