[Teachldsseminary] SURVEY

We always try to incorporate an activity, a teaching moment and an address
from the Stake Presidency. This year we are starting in the classrooms and
talking about the Ten Plagues of Seminary -- iPoditus, Tardyitus,
Sleepyitus, Talkingitus, Missingitus, etc. Then everyone will go into the
cultural hall where displays are set up and they will be given an answer
sheet to try and guess which OT story is depicted -- a coat on the floor; 12
stones stacked; a floating ax; etc. Then a guy dressed as Joshua will appear
and go to the curtains which have butcher paper covering them painted like
water. He's going to knock on the curtain with his "rod" and invisible
people on the other side will "part" the waters and everyone will walk into
the cultural hall singing Ye Elders of Israel. The Stake President has been
charged to inspire them and send them home for a good night's sleep. It
sounds like a lot when I write it down but we usually do it in 1 hour and 15
minutes.
