Thank you sooooo much to everyone for your help! With
the help of someone of this list, I found the picture
and used it for my lesson today. I do appreciate
everyone else who responded because I have learned
more about trying to find pictures on the internet.
I projected the picture on the wall and asked the
students to make a list of everything that needed to
transpire before this event could take place. I asked
them to list anything in History, Joseph's life or
otherwise.
I asked 1 student to read his list, then another
student to add to that list. That student had a very
detailed list that enabled us to cover most of the
points that I wanted to cover.
Topics that we discussed:
- Book of Mormon prophet's kept their records
- Mormon abridged the record
- Moroni buried the plates
- Pilgrims sought religious freedom
- Declaration of Independence
- Joseph's ancestry
- The First Vision
- Moroni's visits
- Joseph & Emma married
We had a great discussion and covered a lot of ground
in one lesson.
Thanks again for everyone's help!
Barbara
