[Teachldsseminary] CHAT: Seminary Files

I am sad that some are leaving the list that will be teaching our youth this
year. As a "lone seminary teacher" this list was a life line that enabled me
to feel connected to others that were spending hours in the scriptures on a
daily basis with the youth of the covenant in their hearts. It always
reminds me of the scripture, "I may hear of your affairs, that ye astand
fast in one spirit, with bone cmind dstriving together for the faith of the
gospel;" My CES supervisor might visit me once a year in my classroom and I
attend in-services once a month but the list is there for me on a daily
basis. I've always considered that the ideas shared were given freely since
very little ends up in the filing cabinet that isn't first posted to the
list. What the filing cabinet gave me was a searchable data base for which I
didn't have to purchase software, learn to operate, or administer. In
addition, someone out there was converting files into various formats that I
could use. (ie: The Prophet Posters are in MS Publisher; RTF and PDF) My
only other alternative to save "great ideas" was to print them off but (a) I
hate to file, (b) I can't afford the toner, and (c) I'd have to buy some
file cabinets! For me, it was the cheapest option. BUT, whatever else you
may choose, please choose to stay with the list and contribute your spirit
to everyone else's.
