I give my students a three ring binder every year.  I put their  student 
manual - journal notebook - for class entries, not scripture insights -  and I put 
their scripture mastery cards in a three hole baseball card  holder.  They 
can see both sides of the cards easily.  When they are  working on a scripture, 
they remove it and keep it with them until they pass it  off and then return 
it to its slot.  I also make up first letter cards and  put them in the 
baseball card holders.
