[Teachldsseminary] CHAT: Finding the lost sheep

Yesterday we started on Moroni (Down Under .....with one week to go). At the
beginning of the year there was a young girl who started out the year with
the desire to have 100%. She struggled with ill health and her parent's
divorce. This brought about depression. Eventually she stopped even trying
to come and didn't even attend church or mutual.

I had spoken to her mother about what we could do for her. I made big plans
a few times for everyone to come over to my place and we'd make cookies and
do a heart attack for her....so she would know we loved her. Each time the
plan fell through. So on Thursday night I was feeling discouraged that I
hadn't done those wonderful things as I wanted to.

I believe I was prompted by the Holy Ghost to just pick up the phone and
call. I did so and got the answering machine. At first I thought that would
be impersonal so I would call back later. (Knowing full well that with my
memory, later never comes) I left a message saying that we missed her and
would love to see her back. I mentioned that we'd be starting the last book
(Moroni) in the morning and hoped she could come and finish out the year
with us.

I arrived to find her sitting at the piano!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ohhhhh my heart was
full. I cried as I hugged her and told her that she had made my day. She
felt loved as the other students arrived and greeted her with hugs and
smiles.

What did I learn???? That Pres Ballard was correct.....magnifying with
cookies and heart attacks wasn't needed, all it took, for this lamb, was a
simple phone call.

Regards,
Wendy
