Dear Lisa, Thanks so much for sharing this idea. We tried it today and even
used the "I'm going on a trip" part but changed the wording to "I'm going on
a mission and so I'm learning a Scripture Mastery about [keyword or
description] which is found in [Reference]. Since we've only learned five
so far, we used our cards, but even so, the constant repetition really
helped us learn at least the first round. We have six in our class and went
around twice for 14 scripture verses. That took about 15 minutes.

Then we switched to a game called "Hummable Hymns" from a SM workbook I'd
gotten. There are cards with a hymn related to a SM. You have to hum or
pantomime the hymn. The others try to guess the name, then the SM involved.
That worked great, too.

We had a fun and profitable "game day." janet

REPLY TO:
I had my "Scripture Master" do some practice on keywords today and it
worked well. So I thought I would share in hopes that someone else might
find it useful. I have 18 students and the officer I put in charge of
scripture mastery came up with this idea. He started by repeating a keyword
and the section it was in. Then it would pass to the next person who
repeats the first one, and adds on and so on. There is a similar game
called "I'm going on a trip and I'm taking (something that starts with the
letter A). Then the next person says, I'm going on a trip and I'm taking
(A) and (B).
