[Teachldsseminary] Chat: Memorizing keywords idea

Good Morning List,
   
  I had my "Scripture Master" do some practice on keywords today and it worked well.  So I thought I would share in hopes that someone else might find it useful.  I have 18 students and the officer I put in charge of scripture mastery came up with this idea.  He started by repeating a keyword and the section it was in.  Then it would pass to the next person who repeats the first one, and adds on and so on.  There is a similar game called "I'm going on a trip and I'm taking (something that starts with the letter A).  Then the next person says, I'm going on a trip and I'm taking (A) and (B).
   
  Anyway, my youth all enjoyed this and all of them put forth effort to remember and dazzle their fellow classmates.  Only one person had to write things down.  Sometimes I just think he tries to act "slow."  The youth were able to just look at each person and were able to remember what each one said.  At least they were able to practice those keywords and sections listed.  It did take a bit longer than I wanted (around 10-15 minutes).  But once we started all of them wanted to finish to see if they could list all 18.
   
  Just an idea to practice keywords.
