[Teachldsseminary] Electronic scriptures

According to the mission call my daughter just received you are not to take any type of electronic PDA's, or electronic planners, with you on your mission. My son's friend will be home in 2 weeks and his call said the same thing. Since it was in the official call it can't be just the mission president who is requesting no PDA's.

scriptures, the hymns, a map, would take directions, notes etc. with it. I
think he also had some books on it as well. I saw this elder use the palm
pilot almost every time he was around me (typically only on Sundays and some
Wednesdays.) But, I guess my assumption is that he took it on appointments
etc.
