Good Point!  I hadn't thought of it in that way, but it really brought it home since our daughter will be entering the MTC on Nov. 1st.  We have been reading over the letter she has received from the first presidency as well as her mission president and trying to make sure we are following the guidelines that are there.  When she is on her mission she will do well as she has studied her scriptures diligently, and when others ask her about a specific scripture, she will be able to find in in the actual book of scriptures, which is what most investigators want to see.

We are to consider our seminaries as mini-MTC's. I don't think missionaries are allowed to bring these devises into the misson field. I think the brethren want them, us included, to have hands on familiarity with our scriptures.
