I used to play this game when I was in seminary to review what we learned
from General Conference. I pre-warned them & told them that they could bring
whatever notes they took during the sessions, but really the game is easy
enough that even those who weren't able to watch or didn't catch every
session can participate. 

It's called "Numbered Chairs" and this is how you play. You divide into 3
teams and put 3 chairs in the front of the room, each with a different point
amount taped to it. Each team is given an envelope with slips of paper that
are the answers to all of the questions you are going to ask (plus a few
distracters). You ask a question and the teams race to grab the slip of
paper with the right answer and sit in the chair that will bring them the
highest point total. At the end, whoever has the most point, wins.

Here are the questions that am going to use, based on the notes I took
during Conference, but feel free to do your own. Hope this helps someone who
needs a last-minute idea!

· How many temples did President Hinckley announce have been dedicated? 123

· Elder Dallin H. Oaks spoke about the Savior’s ability to heal the heavy
laden. He said that when we are laden with physical impairments, addictions,
etc., sometimes the Savior heals us by curing us, or removing the burden,
and other times he does this. Gives us increased strength and understanding
to help us bear our burdens well

· This member of the First Presidency spoke on the topic of Discipleship and
was the only speaker to deliver his talk while sitting down. President Faust


· Elder Hales said that when we want to speak to the Lord, we should pray.
When we want the Lord to speak to us, what did he say we should do? Study
the scriptures

· Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin spoke lovingly about his wife who recently passed
away. He made a promise that when we face the dark Fridays of our lives,
what will come? Sundays

· Sister Elaine Dalton, the 2nd Counselor in the YW Presidency, spoke on
Personal Worthiness. In her talk, she quoted the scripture that will be next
year’s Mutual theme. What is it? “Let virtue garnish thy thoughts
unceasingly that thy confidence may wax strong”

· Who provided the music for the Saturday afternoon session? A choir of
missionaries from the MTC

· Elder Bowen, of the Quorum of the Seventy, described a beautiful park in
XXXX that is built on a former what? Landfill

· What did Elder Dieter Uchtdorf say motivated him to learn English? His
desire to be a pilot

· Elder Richard G. Scott used an analogy to this high-risk activity to teach
about letting the Savior be our partner & leader as we handle challenges and
overcome temptations. Rock-climbing

· Elder Baxter spoke of this first principle and ordinance of the Gospel
(and young women’s value) as being “Spiritual Oxygen”. Faith

· According to President Monson, what was N. Eldon Tanner’s nickname when he
was serving in Canada (hint – his nickname had a young women’s value in it)?

· President Monson gave 3 guidelines for building a strong foundation of
faith and testimony. They were prayer, scripture study and what? Service

· President Monson told a story about a young woman who had cancer. What
amazing task did she accomplish? Climbed to the Mt. Timpanogos Cave

· Bonus question: How did she do it? The YW in her ward carried her

· Richard Edgley of the Presiding Bishopric told 2 stories from his life
about 3 towels and a 25 cent newspaper to teach what 2 principles of the
gospel? Honesty and Integrity

· Anthony D. Perkins gave 3 examples of snares that Lucifer uses to try to
discourage us and weaken our testimonies. What were they? False Inadequacy,
Exaggerated Imperfections, and Needless Guilt

· On Sunday morning, President Hinckley spoke about what YW value? Faith

· President Hinckley mentioned that in a few more months, he will be the
oldest person to serve as a prophet in these latter days. How old is he? 96

· President Hinckley said that this year marks the anniversary of the Willie
and Martin handcart companies entering the Salt Lake Valley. How many years
ago did he say that this occurred? 150

· President Hinckley told about one of his wife’s ancestors. She was a widow
whose husband had been a finish carpenter on the Manti Temple. What did she
once pray to find that President Hinckley showed as an example of faith?

· Elder Boyd K. Packer said that Brigham Young hoisted something on a stick
to symbolically raise an ensign to the nations when he dedicated Ensign Peak
 Heber C. Kimball’s yellow bandana

· Elder Packer said that lots of people have silly ideas about Mormons. What
question did he say is the silliest he’s ever been asked on the subject? “Do
Mormons have horns?”

· What did Elder Packer say is the opposite of faith? Fear

· What did Elder David Bednar say is the main theme that people identify as
their reason for falling away from activity in the church? Being offended

· A. Roger Merrill taught that in addition to teaching by the spirit, we
must also concern ourselves with what? Receiving by the Spirit

· Don R. Clarke spoke on how we can be instruments in the Lord’s hand. He
told a story about a farmer who was in financial trouble. How were his
prayers answered? A local crippled man who had been inspired wrote him and
offered $200

· Larry Gibbons told about a friend of his who is a nutritionist with a
weakness for doughnuts. His friend said that as long as he eats right most
of the time, he can splurge on things that aren’t good for him. What did
Brother Gibbons call this? The 80/20 Prinicple

· Elder Jeffrey R. Holland told a story about a young teacher at BYU who was
not a member of the church. One day, she went hiking with some of her
colleagues on Y Mountain. Along the way, she was surprised that they stopped
twice to do what? Listen to General Conference

· Elder Holland that General Conference Offers us 3 special things: it
testifies that there is a living prophet, provides a call to action, and
what? Declares to the world that Jesus is the Christ
