[Teachldsseminary] A few unruly students

Many thanks to this awesome listserv for the excellent comments, 
suggestions, advice, and just in general, BIG SUPPORT re: my few unruly 
students post!  I felt this huge outpouring of love from you all, and 
not only that, I felt that WE WEREN'T ALONE!  I love your suggestions, 
and have printed them all off (and copied for my team-teaching partner) 
so we can all think about and pray over your thoughts and comments.

By the way, I just decided to pick up the phone this evening and I 
talked two students and one parent (of another student).  It was 
great--one student is not a problem but has been thinking of quitting 
class because of the problems; another is one of the problems and I just 
chatted with him and told him how we missed him in class (he's a 
"problem child" who has been cutting my teammate's classes).  With the 
mom of another problem child, I got some good advice from her while I 
told her our concerns regarding her son. 

Things aren't perfect but they are looking up!  I really appreciate that 
you all were there--ARE there--when I needed you!
