Here are a few extra ideas for bulletin teasers for next year.  I wanted them to be able to find them in the D&C that day and get their reward the same Sunday that they saw the question in the bulletin.


Seminary Students – Can you believe it?  School’s almost here – and so is seminary!  We are going to have great fun this year learning about the Doctrine and Covenants and Church History.  To get you started, each week until seminary starts, there will be a question in the bulletin.  Anyone (that means everyone in the branch!) who can give Sister Taylor the correct answer (tell me where you found it), will get a reward.

15 Jul - To whom, when and why did Elijah come?  (Find in the Doctrine & Covenants)

22 Jul - Why do we have stakes and when are they fist mentioned in the Doctrine & Covenants?

29 Jul - Who is the "elect lady" the Lord commanded to not murmur, to be a scribe to Joseph Smith, and to make a selection of sacred hymns?  (Find in the Doctrine & Covenants)

6 Aug - Seminary starts on Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. sharp!  See you all there.  Last question:  Where is the revelation from Joseph Smith, Jr. to his father, Joseph Smith, Sr. found and what is it about?  (Find in the Doctrine & Covenants) 

ANSWERS:

15 Jul - Joseph Smith & Oliver Cowdery in the Kirtland Temple on 3 Apr 1836 - D&C 110:14-16

22 Jul - D&C 68 or 133 (Nov 1831).  They are a refuge & defense against storms in life and place where righteous can gather.

29 Jul - Emma Smith - D&C 25

 6 Aug - D&C 4 - missionary work
