Good morning from Texas!
As we all are in the process of
preparing for this next wonderful
year of Seminary, I started to
prepare and read a talk given by
Deborah L. Besselievre in a CES
Conference. She said,"Give every
student a job-classrooms run smoother
when the students have ownership".
So I decided to share my list of
responsibilites with you if you
decide to do the same. It is a
short list and I am sure that you
can come with more. I also
created job descriptions for each
and when I go over to their houses
personally before school begins, I
will ask them to serve. I will
have presidency meetings with the
president, counselors, and secretary
using the Leadership Development
from the scriptures as suggested by
John A. Monson in a CES symposium
talk.
Here are the positions:
President (sustained by class set apart by Bishop)
1st Counselor
2nd Counselor
Secretary
Chorister
Pianist
Quiz Master
Score Manager
Time Keeper
Journal Guardian
People Greeter
Birthday Supervisor
Handout Holder
Secret Snitch
Newspaper Creator (at least 2)
You could also have:
Light Monitor
A/V Technician
Game Monitor
Devotionalist (I use Zones for this job)

Depends on what assignments
you give your presidency.
As President Gordon B. Hinckley
stated in the May 1999 Ensign,
"Every 'convert'[student] deserves
a responsibility. The bishop
[or teacher] may feel that [the
person] is not qualified for
resposibility. Take a chance on
him. Think of the risk the
Lord took when He called you."
