[Teachldsseminary] Teaching Emphasis

Hi all,
 
I have a question about the teaching emphasis...How are you all using it to  
prepare your lessons this year?  Our CES director is really pushing it and  I 
totally agree with him that kids need to be doing more teaching by the Spirit  
and reading the text in class more.  I think the bar is raising more  quickly 
than some of us old fogies are prepared for and I am certain  this new 
strategy will help prepare the kids if we can adapt quickly  enough.
 
My concern is with such a small class (my own 2 kids) we tend to get bored  
easily.  I would love to hear some of your ideas for involving them making  
sure the current teaching emphasis is the objective. We watched a video in our  
last meeting where real teachers demonstrated their teaching  techniques and 
how they are involving the kids during class time. I would  love to get my hands 
on the entire DVD if anyone knows how.   It was  conducted by a General 
Authority. Sadly, I can't give you anymore info on  it than this.
 
Anyway, if you have ideas that could help out a small class learn to  have 
lively discussions that helps teens learn how to teach by the Spirit and  
recognize the power of their own testimonies, I would be grateful.
