1. Thou shalt add the appropriate message header to every message
subject line: TEACH, CHAT, SM, QUES, REQUEST, SURVEY, COMM. Thus busy
teachers can easily tell which messages to read.
2. Thou shalt NOT start a new message thread by replying to an existing
message and changing the subject line. Rather, thou shalt send
'teachldsseminary at latter-dayvillage.com' a NEW message with appropriate
header.
3. Digest users shalt not reply to a digest message without deleting
all but the applicable message and changing the reply subject line to
include the real topic, thus reducing message and digest bloat.
4. Thou shalt not send attachments to the list. (The list strips
attachments or rejects your message.)
5. Thou shalt not send HTML or Outlook Rich Text messages to the list.
Thou shalt set thy email client to send Plain Text.
6. Thou shalt not send messages from an unsubscribed address; these
messages are rejected. Make special note of replies; thou shalt use the
correct account.
7. Thou shalt not send 'thank you' or 'me too' messages to the list.
Thou shalt send these privately to the original sender.
8. Thou shalt observe proper email list etiquette when replying to a
list message; deleting ALL but the applicable text you are commenting on.
There is no need to include the message footer information in ANY reply.
9. Thou shalt be kind and respectful of thy fellow list members.
10. Thou shalt observe and obey all ADMIN messages.
I hope a bit of humor will inspire you to make life easier for all of the
busy, busy teachers who rely on the list for information. For your
'obedience,' we thank you in advance.
Best Regards,
Tim Holder, Webmaster
